Deleting your account
You can delete your account in two ways: inside the app, or by sending a request from this page. Both have the same result.
Delete in the app
This is the fastest way. In the app go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. As soon as you confirm, the request is recorded and you are signed out on all devices.
Send a request from this page
If you cannot sign in to the app, write to us from the email address registered to your account. When we receive your request we verify your identity and start the deletion.
Send a deletion request
Send it from your account's email address; write Account Deletion in the subject line and add your user number (Puffy ID) to the message.
We complete your request within 30 days at the latest; it usually takes a few business days.
14-day undo period
After the deletion request your account stays closed for 14 days. If you change your mind during this period, sign in to cancel the request and your account comes back as it was. After 14 days the deletion cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Your profile and everything that makes up your identity is permanently deleted: your nickname, profile and cover photos, videos, life photos, bio, date of birth, country and gender.
In addition, your messages and chats, moments and short videos, comments, likes, follows and friendships, room memberships and visit history, blocks, notification records and device sessions are deleted. Files you uploaded are also physically removed from storage.
What is kept, and why
We cannot delete everything; some records are kept by law and some belong to other people as well. To be clear:

None of the remaining records are linked to a profile any more — no name, photo or identity is visible behind them. For reports you filed, the link to you is removed and the record stays anonymous.
What happens to your family and rooms?
Deletion removes your data; it does not punish other people's work. A family you founded is handed to its most senior member, or archived if no members remain. Your rooms are handed to an admin, or closed if there is none — but the room record is not deleted because its chat history also belongs to the other participants.
If you have a pending withdrawal
Deletion does not start while a withdrawal request is pending. Your payment is settled first, then you can delete your account.
Coins and virtual items
Coins, gifts, VIP and other virtual items in your account are lost when the account is deleted; they are not converted to cash or refunded. If you want to use them first, sign in within the 14-day period and cancel the request.
